LaSalle NYLT 2010    Fact Sheet

 

LaSalle NYLT 2010 is an intense, 6-1/2 day, outdoor leadership training experience for troop youth leaders. Its principle function is to help Scoutmasters by training their top boy leaders in the skills of leadership. This Course is a National BSA-developed Course that follows the material provided in the 21st Century Wood Badge training for adults.

 

Purpose of the Course: To give Scouts the confidence and knowledge to run the troop program; To give Scouts the opportunity to share ideas and experience with Scouts from other troops; To create an atmosphere where Scouts will experience Scouting at it's best; To enhance the relationship between the participant and his Scoutmaster; To have fun.

The Course is ideal for training senior patrol leaders and patrol leaders. It is a valuable experience for any older Scout.

 

LaSalle National Youth Leader Training 2010:

1. Course will follow the National Youth Leader Training Syllabus.

2. Course is 6-1/2 days.

3. Candidates report to Camp ToPeNeBee at 8:00 am on Sunday July 11, 2010.

(All times at Camp ToPeNeBee are Central Standard Time)

4. Course is completed at 10 am on Saturday, July 17, 2010.

5. All participants MUST be picked up by 10 am on Saturday.

 

Requirements for attending LaSalle NYLT 2010:

Complete and return the LaSalle NYLT 2010 Application form, to the Council office by May 15, 2010No other forms will be recognized.

These are available from     LaSalle Council website

Your District Executive.

A $50 non-refundable Interest Fee MUST accompany the form.

Total cost is $210.00. After May 15, 2010 cost is $240.00

 

Scout must meet the following criteria:

1. Be at least 13 years old and a First Class Scout by the first day of the LaSalle

            NYLT 2010 week.

2. Currently hold, or plan to soon hold, a leadership position in their troop.

3. It is highly recommended that the Scout complete the leadership training

Course: (Troop TLT) in his Troop or District, recognized by a Trained

patch on his uniform.
